I am currently reading all of the following...
Horns
A Time to Kill
The Far Pavilions
and
Wives and Daughters
Its a strange place I find myself in. Usually I can't stand to read more than one book at a time. So how did I get to FOUR? I couldn't tell you. But it made me think about how interesting and varied everyone's different reading habits are. How many books do you guys usually try to read at once?
(Note: I didn't make The Far Pavilions picture bigger on purpose, but so far it is my favorite of the four...and possibly my favorite of the year so far. We'll call it a fortunate mistake.)

Ha. I do this on occasion, too. Sometimes it's because I have a book I *have* to read, and a book I want to read, but most of the time, I think it's reader-restlessness. I think it's a combination of just having so much I want to read, and wanting to read it ALL NOW + and searching for something that is going to fulfill my mood w/o my actually knowing what my mood is...

I just can't do it... but I need to try to juggle one fiction and one non-fiction because I need to read more of those. But I need my fiction fix...
Trouble is if I do try to juggle, the lesser of the two books will just end up being left on the way side even if it is a reasonably good book.

I only read one book at a time. Personally, if I read more than one at a time, it is hard to give my full attention to any of them and it makes it more difficult to post a good review. PS--A Time To Kill by Grisham is one of my all time favorites!
